Competition fees are £3 per competition and first and second places are awarded for all junior competitions and medals. Winnings are allocated to the juniors’ club card for use throughout the club. Generally speaking, prizes are self-sufficient as monies collected in entrance fees cover the cost of prize money. Do we want to consider giving pro shop vouchers?
The junior calendar allows for at least one qualifying competition per month, running from April to October.
Monthly competitions take place on Saturdays/Sundays and commence at 2.00pm. Medals are open to all juniors with a valid handicap.
There are various cup competitions during the year, the vast majority of which are stroke play format.
There has been some excellent competition golf this year with a number of boys performing particularly well.

Congratulations to all the Porters Park Junior Golfers for their achievements and contributions during 2020.
Fletcher Masterson won the Herts Boys U16 Championship at Hadley Wood on Thursday 29th October.
Battling heavy wind and rain Fletcher shot a gross 75 (nett 70) to win by 2 shots in a strong field of 50 players from clubs across Hertfordshire.
This was Fletcher’s second success this week, he was runner up at The Verulam Junior Open on Tuesday.
Fantastic golf and a great week for Fletcher well done and really good to see Porters Park featuring in junior success in Hertfordshire!
