Porters Park Golf Club

Visiting Golfers and Societies

A round of golf at Porters Park is always a pleasure. Whether playing a casual round with friends, in a golf society or as part of a corporate event, the 6,529 yard parkland layout is picturesque, inspiring and challenging. There are many memorable holes, with undulating fast running fairways and magnificent greens.

The practice and warm-up facilities at the club are excellent and easily accessible from the locker rooms. The putting green, practice nets and a short-game and bunker area are all close to the clubhouse while the driving and long shot areas are a short walk from the clubhouse. These facilities should hone your game and prepare you for that all important first tee shot.

Each year the club plays host to a prestigious Open Amateur event, the King George V Coronation Cup, and has hosted the regional qualifying course for the Open Championship on six occasions. More recently, Golf Monthly awarded Porters Park a Silver rating in their UK & Ireland regional course rankings. We also feature prominently in the UK’s Top100 Golf Courses guide. All in all, we are proud to be described as one of Hertfordshire's premier courses.

Societies and Corporate Groups have been welcomed for over 100 years. We are a popular venue hosting golfing societies as diverse as rugby, cricket and football clubs, small businesses and groups of friends looking for a great day out, at a wonderful club, on a picturesque and enjoyable golf course.

The club offers a range of packages covering 18, 27 and 36 holes and these can be tailored to your specific requirements.
